small talk
Hey, it's been a while. How have you been? Well, whatever your reply is, I hope for both our well-being. I feel like it has been so long since someone has been over, that I almost forgot what it was like to share moments of time.
Anyway, I am glad you came over, please make yourself at home, I wish I could serve some tea but nothing really grows here, and I can't really go outside by myself... but at least, the air is pleasant.
I hope you don't mind, but I will take the opportunity to let my words run over. It's not quite the same as willing them by myself, you see, for when talking alone is not so much different than thinking aloud, and when the words come to you, the pen you use to write them into reality changes depending on if you are doing it alone, or with someone else.
In our case, it is something of a middle ground, after all, from where we both stand, we might as well be phantoms to one another, hehe, what a weird thing to say, isn't it? Phantoms... but I suppose it is the closest match ah! But I promise it's nothing nearly as scary as one, who knows, maybe you are sensitive to ghostly talk...
Say, I know we don't really know each other, but I found your presence to be quite endearing, its a surreal, peculiar yet tender feeling. I have this bad habit of looking at people's eyes directly, and whenever I see yours I feel that somehow, somewhere and sometime, we might have known each other. When I realize that, a thin coat of something blue and cool is painted over the feelings, like the landscape changes from a bright afternoon among the trees to bright ocean.
It makes me wonder what we might have been to each other, maybe close friends, maybe someone I would have feelings for, for one reason or another. Maybe someone dear, that has been by my side for a long time, maybe someone that had to leave my life, while leaving a better version of me behind... either way, it is something precious, not something many people can evoke on someone else.
It is really too bad, that this place denies us each other. At the mere thought of extending my hand to you, the room seems to grow in size and take us apart, so let's not think about that right now. To be honest, I don't even think you would ever think about a thing like that, not with me, in this place...
But I do hope some of it remains with you when you leave, I hope that it lingers enough to make you think of someone that you can't really put a finger on who it is, and even if that is quickly brushed aside the very next moment, it is fine, that would be enough for me.
Haa... okay. I think that is enough of that for now. This might be a shock for you, but there is an alien that lives around here who feeds on negative energy to power his UFO spaceship thing, he wears sunglasses and is always smirking, he carries a bad-vibes-extractor-gun with him wherever he goes and seems to have taken me for a haul, and I am not planning on humoring anyone who looks that smug.
That said, please do come again, I would love to tell you more but I can see you are terribly bored at my mindless talking, after all you probably can't even understand or hear what I am talking about, but at very least I can see that you are not displeased by my selfishness. Here, take this.
[A swing of my arm summons a white colorless star that floats to your hands]
This doesn't mean anything at all, and is no different from the words I tried to share, and you can't take it; it will disappear as soon as you reach the other side. But if an action can speak more than words, I hope it said something to you, have you gotten it? Hehe, in any case, have a safe trip back, may the stars guide your path to a haven-clad paradise.
Catch you later... -
